Celibate Lady Gaga Urges Fans To Abstain From Sex

London, United Kingdom (AHN) - From the woman whose latest music video is deemed too sexual, Lady Gaga proudly admits she’s celibate. The “Telephone” star is urging her fans to follow her lead and abstain from sex.

The 24-year-old singer was in London with pop icon Cyndi Lauper to promote Mac cosmetic’s Viva Glam campaign, which supports global HIV and AIDS projects.

And despite the fact she admitted that her shoes and lace tights, her costume of the day with a black lace bodysuit, came from a sex shop, Lady Gaga said sex is far from her mind, encouraging her fans to shun it out as well.

She told U.K.’s The Daily Mail, “I can’t believe I’m saying this – don’t have sex. I’m single right now and I’ve chosen to be single because I don’t have the time to get to know anybody. So it’s OK not to have sex, it’s OK to get to know people.”

“I’m celibate, celibacy’s fine.”

She continued, “Something I do want to celebrate with my fans is that it’s OK to be whomever it is that you want to be. You don’t have to have sex to feel good about yourself, and if you’re not ready, don’t do it.”

The full purchase price of Lady Gaga and Lauper’s Viva Glam lipsticks will benefit the Mac AIDS Fund.
