Erin Andrews has been receiving death threats; FBI has identified sender
ESPN reporter Erin Andrews has been getting death threats since September, and the FBI has identified the sender, according to Andrews' attorney, Marshall Grossman.
Grossman said Friday that a media outlet had received at least a dozen e-mails, which have grown increasingly violent and have threatened Andrews with murder, since September.
Grossman says the e-mails discuss the case of Michael David Barrett, who last month was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison for stalking Andrews.
A message left by the Associated Press for an FBI spokeswoman was not immediately returned.
Andrews has been a contestant this season on "Dancing with the Stars," which has beefed up security around Andrews while she is on set.
